Bromhexinum – mucolytic agent, has expectorant and weak antitussive effect. It reduces the viscosity of phlegm due to depolarization of acid mucopolysaccharides and stimulation of secretory cells of the bronchial mucosa. It activates the cilia of ciliated epithelium, resulting in improved expectoration.

Gvayfenezin – reduces surface tension and adhesion properties of sputum, increased serous component of bronchial secretions, reduces the viscosity of phlegm, activates the ciliary apparatus of the bronchi, facilitates the removal of phlegm and promotes the transformation of non-productive cough productive.

Menthol – has antispasmodic action, gently stimulates the secretion of bronchial glands, has antiseptic properties, soothes and reduces irritation of the respiratory tract mucosa.

Acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases accompanied by difficulty sputum discharge: bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchitis, pneumonia, pneumoconiosis, pulmonary tuberculosis.

Diuretics and corticosteroids increase hypokalemic effect of testosterone propionate side effects.

Co-administration with medications containing codeine and other antitussive difficult expectoration attenuated sputum.

Part of the drug bromhexine facilitates the penetration of antibiotics into the lung tissue.
